For our first day in Montevideo we got lunch and one of the workers at the hostel told us about a soccer game playing. He ended up showing us how to use the bus and taking us to the game. We arrived at the bus stop and couldn't resist but get dulce de leche yogen fruz before the game, which the boys were not ecstatic about. We didn't get there until half time but we ended up seeing two exciting goals! It was a fun way to spend our first afternoon.
On the bus!
Our hostel friend who took us to the game
Something was so funny
That night was when other students from our program were coming to stay in our hostel so we wanted to wait for them before we left for dinner. This ended up being a huge mistake because waiting 20 minutes turned into two hours and to say we were starved would be an understatement. When we ended up leaving we had no patience we were dropped off at a mall and could not wait any longer so ended up eating at the food court!! ew…. We tried to sit at the "restaurant" side which although the menu was extensive ended up saying all they were serving was pizza and meat….but they made one exception and cooked me a plane piece of chicken breast…THANK GOD.
so hungry she is eating her brick....
NOT HAPPY
yes this is a food court....
We returned to the irish pub where we met a bunch of IES students and then made our way back to Lotus. We were hesitant to go back to the same club but since it was such a small city this really was the only fun club to go to. It definitely was fun the second night even though they did not play as great of music. There were a lot of IES students there and we left at around 4am…a little earlier than the first night.
Lots of IES people!
this was not planned...
she might be 60....
