We woke up bright and early to board a train from Cusco to Aguascalientes Calientes the city where Machu Picchu is located. We were so surprised at how luxurious the train was! They provided complimentary breakfast which was quinoa pancakes a spinach quiche and fresh cut fruit!
The beautiful train!

Classy breakfast!
4 hours later we arrived and boarded a bus straight to Machu! We were greeted by a guide in a group of about 10 other people. Our guide, Leo, really did us right showed us all the great places to take pictures along with tellin is all about how INCREDIBLE Machu truly is. Machu was not a city center of the Incans but it was one of the only Incan cities not destroyed by the Spanish because of how secluded it is. Once the Spanish came to conquer the Incans the people living at Machu Picchu which was the nobility of Incan civilization abandoned the town and destroyed the entrances to it so the Spanish couldn't find it. It was only discovered for the public to see less than a 100 years ago!
I am officially americas number one Inca fan. They are an incredible people who 500 years ago were able to build a city so incredibly out of stone cut so perfectly with none of the modern technology we would use to do that today. How did they do it?? People now call it the Incan mystery because their physics was so advanced we can't even provide an explanation. Also there were sun dials for them to tell the time, steps for agriculture, and an amphiterheatre that had perfect acoustics. I just cannot believe the Spanish would come in and destroy such an amazing people and all their intelligence with it!

I WAS HERE!!

The pictures don't even do it justice

The agricultural terraces

After getting our tour we hiked to the Sun gate which is the main entrance te Icans used to enter Machu Picchu.
We returned home and the hotel sibce it was Robert's burthday at midnight gave us free drinks!
We had an amazing dinner at a place called "Tree house" which was completely abandoned since we went at 930...we are so Argentine. But dinner was delicious and they gave us dessert for Roberts birthday!
