We boarded and rode an 18 hour bus ride to make it to Iguazu falls. No, I did not make a typo...it was 18 HOURS. We went "first class" bus and got seats that turned into beds and I brought an entire suitcase full of games and snacks because our vacation we spent more time on the bus than at the actual falls! The 18 hours were not as bad as I expected- we watched scandal, raged a bit, played games, talked for hours, then actually had a full night sleep!
We arrived in Iguazu at 9am and were ready to have a full day at the falls!
The pictures really tell it all but it was really one of the most amazing sites I have ever seen. The volume was water was indescribable and there were rainbows everywhere!
Teddy and I- are we a couple?
Thats a real rainbow.
After overlooking the falls we boarded a boat where we got to go INTO the falls!! We got soaked from head to toe in Iguazu water. When we were underneath we were all screaming "We are IN THE FALLS". It was such an incredible experience. And the weather was perfect which made it even more incredible!
The boat!
We were on the Argentine side of the falls- It is on the border of Argentina and Brazil so we could see Brazil from the water!
